creative pursuits
Two of my favorite things: purple flowers and cobalt glass. I found these little flowers growing in the scrabble beside our parking lot and the lower ones at the bottom of the stairs among the day lilies. I made an image of this last spring of violets in this little bottle (which was a take I had done the summer before of 2 roses in the bottle) and has been one of my favorite images. I continue the tradition with these little flowers!
Found this bright little guy in the chive blossoms. I like the color contrast (and, of course, the flowers).
We went to a public Garden today to see the lilacs and there were lots of other beautiful flowers as well. As it was sunny and midday many of my photos came out with harsh shadows. I like this one because of the clean, soft, green background and the one crisp flower in the front.
The lilacs are blooming! Another of my favorite subjects, I love the rich color and texture of the flowers, especially when covered with droplets of water. I particularly like the darker colored ones like these. Beautiful!
